Terms of Service

1. Scope

These terms apply to all services provided by PCB Insight, including free DFM checks, engineering design, fabrication, and assembly services. By submitting a quote request or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

2. Quotes and orders

• A quote is an estimate, not a binding contract. A binding order is formed when we issue a Proforma Invoice and you confirm acceptance in writing.
• Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
• We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion.

3. Design services

• Design deliverables consist of design files and engineering review notes.
• We design to be certification-ready, but do not guarantee certification outcomes (FCC, UL, CE, etc.). Final certification depends on your full product and the certifying body.
• You retain full ownership of your design files. We claim no IP rights over your designs.

4. Cancellation and refunds

• Orders may be cancelled prior to the start of production (“production cutoff”). Once production has begun, cancellations are not accepted.
• Custom-manufactured PCBs are non-returnable and non-refundable for “change of mind.”
• Quality issues: if boards do not meet agreed specifications, we will prioritize re-manufacturing at no charge. A formal claim must be submitted within 14 days of delivery with supporting evidence.
• Refunds (if applicable) will be processed to the original payment method.

5. Payment

• Accepted methods: PayPal and bank wire transfer (T/T).
• Larger orders may require a deposit (typically 30%) with the balance due before shipment.
• Full payment must be confirmed before production begins, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

6. Shipping and delivery

• Shipping terms are specified in the Proforma Invoice.
• Delivery dates are estimates. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs, or force majeure events.
• Risk of loss passes to the buyer upon shipment. Shipping insurance is available on request.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PCB Insight's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific order giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including lost profits or production downtime.

8. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to designs, files, and specifications you provide to us. We will not share, reuse, or manufacture your designs for any other party without your explicit written permission.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Any disputes shall be resolved through negotiation in good faith, followed by arbitration if necessary.
